Hi there - I’ve just got home and I’ve got no wifi. Has anyone else lost connection in SE London - Sydenham/Forest Hill area? Just trying to asses if it’s just me or a wider problem. Thank you.

Hi TheDodo
How are you getting on following the engineer visit?

Oh, that’s good to know for the future @martswain Thank you.
I found it strange because O2 SMS for example is always branded O2UK.

Pretty sure that's a genuine TT or Openreach number.

Hello Michelle
I’ve just booked an engineer, so hopefully all will be sorted soon.
However just to check - I’ve received an SMS pretending to be from TalkTalk from a dodgy looking non-branded phone number (+447378905544). They were asking for account info.
I assume it’s phishing? Just wanted to flag.

Thank you for your message @Skynet_TX
The light is red and I’ve done a connectivity check. Sadly it seems to be a problem between the exchange and my property. Talk Talk say they’ll dispatch an engineer soon.
Hopefully soon means hours rather than days.

Hi @TheDodo,
What are the light(s) showing on the router ?
It would be worth going to the Service Centre to ‘run a connection test’ on your line, this will indicate if there is currently a fault affecting your service. You can also access this from the ‘My Account’ site.
Also, if you have a landline phone can you check to see if that is working normally (i.e. you have a clear dial tone and no noise on the line).
The TalkTalk Support Team on this community will be able to help, they will hopefully be able to respond to this post tomorrow.
