I'm about to setup a non-TalkTalk modem (Vigor 130) and router (MikroTik) for my Fibre 65 package.

What PPPoE username and password should I use?

No username or password is required for TalkTalk VDSL services, nor do they authenticate via PPPoE, as the help article states.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

I'm Fibre65, so I use the VLAN tag ID of 101, however I still can't get it to connect.

I've tried various combinations of using the username 014xxxxxxxx@talktalk.net (e.g. my telephone number), as well as no username, my TT password and no password, but I just can't get the router (or Windows 11 using PPPoE) to connect.

Windows reports a 619 error, and my router just gets into a connecting... connected... terminated... disconnecting loop.

The modem itself if reporting SHOWTIME and shows the correct VDSL2 uplink and downlink speeds.

Is there another setting somewhere that I'm missing?
