Hi my payment is due on 31st December. Would it be possible to pay on Friday 3rd January please

The payment is requested a minimum 3 days before its taken, so it will be too late.

Alternative ways to pay take several days to clear, and Talktalk will still try to take the DD as this is within the 3 day period set up to process the payment. 

 

You are very likely to clock up extra fees by delaying payment.

It's probably far too late to delay a Direct Debit .... 31st being just tomorrow, you have very few options to avoid a late payment fee.

 

You need to urgently contact Talktalk & discuss ways to pay:
