Renewed Contract to Fibre 250 never agreed to and which is not possible to get speeds guaranteed

I was on previously on fibre 150 and I was persuaded to upgrade to Fibre 250 for roughly same difference. I went ahead with this without thinking. Anyway I cancelled within the same  day because it is not physically it is possible to offer Fibre 250 in the block of flats I live , your website is incorrect. I did not receive any new equipment, and was told it would take about a week to revert back to the original account. Our flats do not have fibre into the block and only have telephone cable from local distribution. For example if you check BT website and enter postcode this will correctly confirm internet speeds possible which are less than Fibre 250. Talk talk get their service from BT.
Anyway it’s been a while since I entered the talktalk account area on the web, and I am shocked and not happy it appears the fibre 250 contract was not cancelled and not reverted to my previous fibre 150 details which contract end date should have past allowing me to leave. According to the webiste I am in a contract for fibre 250 until April 2026 which I certainly did not agree to!!!. I want to leave talktalk

We cannot process cancellations on the community, they have to be placed via Telephone 03451720088 .

thanks for prompt reply. Can you take this as confirmation i wish to cancel service, without the need to go through process of calling someone

The recontract happens straight away, and upgraded the current line which is Gfast to 250mbps which is possible without any work or new equipment required it is simply a line profile change.  

 

I have spoken to the escalation team who have rolled back the contract to your previous contract end date.
