Returning old TalkTalk routers

I have come across two old routers which I have been sent by Talk Talk in the past (several years ago, at least). I am wondering if I can recycle those myself, or if they have to be returned to Talk Talk (given they are pretty outdated). I don't want to be charged for them if I leave at some point in the future, especially as they are fairly worthless now.

Hello,

These 2 particular routers are legacy routers as we no longer send these out, so router charges would not apply in this instance. If there are any issues in the future around a router charge then please post back here and we can look into this for you.

Thanks

Hi Michelle,

Sorry, just one last question! I dropped the parcel off at my local Post Office this morning. They were a bit uncertain about the label, but I did explain the circumstances. As there was no barcode or QR code, they were unable to scan it and give me proof of posting.

Will I receive any form of acknowledgement from TT once it has been received and entered into the system? My name & full address are on the label. Otherwise, if I were to leave TT at some point in the future, what's to stop them denying any record of my returning the router and charging me for it?

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for the quick and helpful replies. Yes, both will fit in the bag. I will get them dropped off at a local Post Office soon. 😃

Hello,

As the returns address is the same as the help guide then this will be fine. Will both routers fit in the bag?

Thanks

Thanks Michelle. Can you confirm that this old-style label will still be valid too? There's no bar code or anything on it....

Thanks for replying.

One is model number DSL-3780/TT (D-Link). The other one is HG633 (Huawei). Not sure in which order I received them. There is actually a returns bag in once of them, with the address: C/O Anovo UK Ltd, 71 Bilton Way, Enfield, Middlesex. EN3 7EP. I'm not sure if that's still where they should be sent though...?

Morning,

Can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Michelle

Usually better to return them, @caprichosa.

What make / model were they?

No problem getting returns bag from staff.
