Router Internet White Light flashes Orange when WPS button is pressed.

On my router, hen I press the WPS button to link a range expander, the white internet light indicator flashes orange and the router seems to disconnect from the internet. Is this normal?

I'm having problems with the internet connection dropping out briefly fairly regularly. Is it likely that I have a router fault

Apologies if this a repost. I thought I'd posted it an hour or so ago but it doesn't seem to be here.

No problem, I've ordered the replacement router, it should be with you within a couple of working days

Yes.

That would be well worth trying, I think.

Thanks Chris,

OK thanks for trying that. Would you like me to send another router to test with?

I've done a factory re-set but it hasn't helped. Internet connection has dropped 4 or more times this morning for a few minutes each time.

I wrongly answered Chris's question. Normally the white light does flash orange when the internet connection is lost, but at the moment sometimes I lose connection even when the solid white light is showing.

The white light normally flashes orange when I lose my internet connection.

How do I do a factory re-set, please, if you think that might help?

Hi graham49,

Does the light usually turn orange when you lose your internet connection?

All I've done with the router is switch it off and on using the power switch, which doesn't factory reset, I think

Morning,

I'm sorry to hear this and I will take a look now. I've run a test on the line which hasn't detected a fault. Can I just confirm, have you tried factory resetting the router and then re-setting this back up again?

Thanks
