Trying to change the settings in my dad's router and when we enter the username and password off the card from the router is keeps coming back "incorrect credentials".

Have reset the router to default factory settings, tried again and get the same result.

Any suggestions ?

This topic died nearly a year ago !

WTF, the log in is printed on all the labels as well, look very carefully and you'll find it on ANY TT router, LOL !

Hi Brian,

Could you initially update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

I'll then send you a PM to confirm some details so that we can arrange the engineer visit

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris

Yes he accepts potential charges.

I've not received a PM (or none that I can find)

OK, if you'd like us to go ahead with the engineer visit can you confirm:

  • That you accept potential Engineers charges
  • Provide availability, either AM (8am to 1pm) or PM (1pm to 6pm) between Monday to Friday.
  • Confirm your mobile number

I've also sent you a PM to confirm some other details

Thanks

Chris

Ok thanks. If you have no broadband service with your router connected to the test socket and you've tested with two different router then the next step will be to arrange an engineer visit. If you'd like us to do this please let us know and we'll confirm some details

Hi Woodnome

Would it be possible to post a photo of the master socket/test socket on this thread?

If the connection is not working at the test socket then this would need to be investigated by an Openreach engineer.

Hi Woodnome

Thanks for confirming this. When you removed the face plate did you connect the router at the test socket using the microfilter?

If you re connect the face plate and put the router back in the usual set up do you still have the flashing orange light?
