Sagemcom FAST5364 dropping wifi

Our router a Sagemcom FAST5364 worked fine when we first got it. For the last 2 or 3 months we have had problems with it dropping connections within the WIFI network. I use Chromecast over the network but it often cannot find devices which it should be able to find. Often we need to reboot the modem before laptops can find the WIFI printer. Firmware version SG4K100174.

Hi Debbie,

I thought I would leave it a day or two to see how it performed over time.

It has been very stable with no dropouts whatsoever. I can only presume this has fixed the problem.

I've disabled wifi optimisation as requested, this will allow you to manually set a wifi channel without wifi optimisation changing it

Hi Debbie, I have been reading another thread which suggests you tuning off  WIFI optimisation. Does that make any sense. 

Other than that I would be happy to try another modem.

Hi Debbie,

I did as you suggested, and reset the box to factory settings.

 

This has not made any improvement,  the problem still exists.

 

Any other thoughts?
