Sites/apps seem to be blocked suddenly?

Hi

 

I seem to be having issues lately which either only resolved upon reinstalling affected apps or turning WiFi off and using mobile data instead which is less than ideal.

 

 

For example, I use the Mistplay app when playing mobile games but since yesterday was getting an error code in the app and getting the 'site cannot be reached' message when trying to access their website. Reinstalling the app didn't fix the problem, until I turned WiFi off on my phone and only then was able to access the website.

 

Any ideas why this is happening?

I'll re-escalate this thread, as it's a while since you posted and it will therefore have fallen out of the queue for attention, @ToriaR.

 

You need to check back during the week, daytime [c 8am - 6pm], as forum support staff are not on here over weekends  / night etc.

It's specific to when I'm using WiFi at home, the Mistplay app and website don't work unless I turn WiFi on my phone, was there any recent update rolled out that enhanced router security and that might be blocking access? Googling the error code in the app led to some results suggesting that might be the reason.

Is this just affecting your phone, or your broadband connection generally? Which make/model/OS is it?
