OK Enough is enough. I had problems a few weeks ago with my Broadband dropping off and reconnecting a few minutes later. I was chatting on here with someone and I thought it had been sorted. No such luck. Broadband has again started dropping off for a couple of minutes Any advice to correct this. Or do I change providers on the grounds Talktalk is not giving me a stable connection.

Hi Eborman
I'm really sorry to hear this.
The line test is clear, no faults detected but I can see errors on the line.
Is the router still at the test socket? Have we sent you a replacement router for testing?
Thanks
Debbie

Hi @Eborman,
When you had the router connected to the test socket did this make it any more reliable than when it was just in the regular socket, or was it still just as bad ?.
If the router is still dropping connection in the test socket then this may indicate a fault somewhere out on the external phone line, if this was the case then moving to a different provider is not likely to help, as they will still be sending the signal down the same phone line, so it would be best to try to let TalkTalk / Openreach do some more investigation first.
I guess you will have already tried this, but it would be worth going to the Service Centre to run a connection test on your line, this will indicate if there is currently a fault affecting your service. You can also access this from the ‘My Account’ site.
Also, if you have a landline phone can you check to see if that is working normally (i.e. you have a clear dial tone and no noise on the line).
The TalkTalk Support Team on this community will be able to help, they will hopefully be able to respond to this post tomorrow.
