I just finished a call with a TalkTalk agent. I have gone around in circles trying to fix my WiFi and am now possibly entitled to compensation. The TalkTalk representative told me he could not send me the information on auto compensation until I had rated my TalkTalk experience, “Would you recommend TalkTalk to a friend”, as either 9/10 or 10/10 on Trustpilot via the TalkTalk Experience email I had been sent. This is a blatant violation of TalkTalks position as a U.K. telecommunications provider and a clear attempt to mislead the public. Additionally, when I did eventually receive the email, it consisted of basic information that I could have obtained on the website. So it is not clear to me why the TalkTalk representative called me to make sure I received this information and again leads me to believe the intention was purely to coerce me into giving a favourable Trustpilot score.
