Wifi channels changing - wifi optimisation

I've noticed that the Wi-fi channels I set manually have changed a few times. From other threads it seems this could be due to Wi-fi optimisation, in which case I need it disabling. Could this be disabled please?

Hi Bobabob
Thanks for the additional information. I've just checked and I've been advised that you cannot set the transmit power level.

Many wifi routers, including my old talktalk router have an option so set the wifi transmit power level, so wifi coverage can be controlled. I was asking if the sagecom 5364 perhaps has this option hidden away?

Hi Bobabob
I'm so glad to hear this. I have fed back to our Devices Team previously about customers having the option to disable optimisation themselves if needed.
"Also is there any hidden setting to control the wifi transmit power?" Apologies, I'm not sure what you mean, what are you trying to change?

My wifi is much better with channel optimisation disabled. I can actually control which channel is used now. In theory I suppose optimisation is a good thing but every network is different and it can cause issues. I think end users should have the ability to enable / disable this without having to ask talktalk to do it. I don't know why you don't expose this setting in the interface.
Also is there any hidden setting to control the wifi transmit power?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Bobabob
Please can you add your name and TalkTalk landline number to your Community Profile, I can then switch the WIFI optimisation off for you.
Thanks
