Router DG8041W-2.T5 Changing the wifi frequency to move away from neighbours channels

Hi, I have 2 questions;

1/ Is my router DG8041W-2.T5 the most up to date one I can get from Talktalk, I've had it years?

2/ After logging into my router account I don't see an easy way to change the wifi channel for either the 2.4 or 5GHz signals, does any one know exactly how to do this?

e.g. there are 2 other networks on my 5GHz channel.

Cheers,

There's no choice in the matter - the Sagemcom is the only one available through Talktalk for Fibre35,  Fibre65 etc.

You can use your own 3rd party router, but Talktalk can't offer support for it.

Forum staff will pick up your post  - it is in the queue for attention, but they are not on here at weekends, @Mario1231.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply, I've actually worked out how to change the frequency channel. Do you think the Sagemcom router is a better quality one than the DG8041W-2.T5 and will Talktalk automatically pick this up and respond?

PS: I've updated my profile.

You really need a new router and it won't be Huawei as these are no longer issued. They have not had updates for some time.

Staff will send a Sagemcom.

They will need to identify your account, so please complete your community forum profile details by going via your avatar; settings. Personal Information. SAVE CHANGES.

They'll respond after the weekend.
