I have now had to swap back to the stock router from talktalk.the new one kept disconnecting.on the talktalk website it says there is a problem with my broadband.

Can you check it please.

Much better now. I’m able to set the channel I want without it changing by itself. Thanks. 

Not sure why it’s so tricky to do this though. When you change the channel in the wifi settings it should stick. Anyway..!
