Hi ,
thought I’d posted this yesterday Friday But it seems to have disappeared..?.
So ..the problem is my talk talk youview recorder box refuses to switch on…either from the remote or the button on the box.
I have removed the mains supply several times and then reconnected the box . Initially this worked,… but now nothing!
I suspect it’s possibly the internal hdd unit that has failed due to age..
any advice most welcome

Hi
If there is no life from the box, then it cannot be replaced as TalkTalk no longer issue those boxes.
There is a new streaming box, but you may need to renew the contract if you are out of contract.

If the hard drive has failed then you may be scuppered. Have you tried the various maintenance mode steps?
