The new customers won't know the minimum guarantee for their line until they sign up.

Same answer: speeds are unique to the specific line.

Yes- as I would have thought that the service to houses in the same postcode would be the same for new and existing customers on Fibre 65-

Hi @tony1236, were you asking why your minimum speed guarantee is lower than the guarantee for new customers?

Hi

the speeds quoted are taken as an average across an area, and each line is unique and would then be given a rating at install.

Thanks

Karl.

Hi

I am on Fibre 65 and when I put my postcode in the Talktalk website it guarantees a minimum speed of 50mb for new customers but I am only getting 35 which is above the guarantee I have but I has been told that the service was due to be upgraded in my area when I signed up

The speed you are getting is unique to your line, @tony1236.

New customers are reading advertising for average speeds - as explained in the small print.

Hi @tony1236,

What package do you have, does it come down a phone line (i.e. Fibre 35 / 65), or is it full fibre. What sort of speeds are you seeing offered to other people, and where are you seeing this offered, compared to the speed you are getting ?
