I used to be able to click on the apps.talktalk.co.uk.inbox in my bookmarks/favourites an it would go straight to my inbox. Not anymore.
My username & password are still saved and I have the "stay signed in" ticked but whenever I click on the bookmark now I am taken to the sign in page and have to click continue and then get taken to my inbox. It has been like this for about 10 days now (and I'm pretty sure it has happened previously)
OK so it's not a huge inconvenience to have to use this route but what's the point of having the auto facility if it decides not to work anymore? I stress it decides because I have not changed any settings.

Just as a follow up to our discussion, you'll receive an email notification from TalkTalk prior to your mailbox being migrated to the new OX Cloud 8 platform. That will give a preview and further guidance on what to expect and things to do. One of those things is to set your browser bookmark back to the normal webmail login at https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite/.
Introduction to the new webmail
Note - If you have bookmarked your webmail URL over the last previous weeks, please consider changing it to https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite/ instead of https://apps-legacy.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite/ as the latter was only created during the migration process to assist during upgrading you.

Yeah all is well now thanks. I had two incidences with having to re-sign but both were on the day I switched to the "legacy" address. I think it maybe needed a log-out, close down of browser, then opening up again to activate the "stay signed in".
Either way I haven't had a problem since then. Thanks for your help.

If you link to the apps-legacy.talktalk.co.uk page I promise you'll stay signed in to a single mailbox via the browser and not get a sign in reminder unless you sign out or TalkTalk force a sign out of mailboxes - required when migrating mailbox contents from one server to another.
You will get a TalkTalk email notification when it's time for your mailbox to be migrated. There will be related advice in that notification email.

Thanks for the tip and the upgrade info.
I have changed the bookmark and will monitor if (as expected) that resolves the glitch. I will report back in a few days.

TalkTalk Mail users are being routinely asked to sign in to the mail platform. It's part of the process for identifying active mailboxes as a precursor to the planned migration of mailboxes to the OX Cloud 8 mail platform.
More detailed explanation follows. The sign in webpage is at apps.talktalk.co.uk and you're asked to enter your email address. There's a check to see if your mailbox is migrated or not. If not yet migrated there's a redirect to apps-legacy.talktalk.co.uk. You'll stay signed in if you've set to stay signed in.
But if you open a new page at apps.talktalk.co.uk you'll get the sign in check once more. If you're signed in and not migrated you'll get the redirect to apps-legacy.talktalk.co.uk and if not signed in you'll be asked for the password for authentication.
If you wish to stay signed in then change your bookmark to https://apps-legacy.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite
