Starting today, I am getting the above message when I try to open my Tiscali emails on my Windows 10 computer.
Can you suggest a reason for this?

There's no staff support on here before Monday. Chat is available during the day on Sunday.
Please keep issues connected with Thunderbird / Tiscali within this one thread as they are possibly part of the same problem and it's much more efficient to focus replies here if the issues seem to be associated.

Hi @PeterOR this small, possible explanation, is no immediate help to you but we are seeing this issue a lot at weekends, I strongly suspect changes are going on in the background and as such email addresses are becoming unavailable for 12 to 36 hours.
your post has been escalated and you should hear soon. In the meantime please check your community profile and add your landline number and/or account number so your account can be identified. Please don't post personal information here.

I'm using Thuderbird on Windows 10.
