Over aggressive spam filtering, sending simple plain text emails to spam folder

Hi,

I'm having issues with my TalkTalk email where emails from myself/other TalkTalk users and some external users are consistently going to my Spam folder, even when they're plain text.(even just a few words!)

This affects mail sent from TalkTalk addresses to my TalkTalk address, including from Webmail.

I never know of the emails existence on my phone or PC, because it is being done on the server end. (and I never check spam on webmail)

Could you please check the spam filtering configuration on my account. (although I see many users are having the same issue)

I have whitelisted my family, and gone into spam and selected those as not spam, but there are hundreds that are too aggressively being sent to spam, without my knowledge.

@angelique-TT @sabelo-TT @nomfezeko-TT @Ady-TalkTalk

I am disgusted with talktalk support, I have been abandoned on an issue that many users are experiencing (and most dont even know that emails are not being delivered to their client or even webmail).

I have rung numerous times, and added lots of entries on here. I either get asked irrelavent questions, ones that have already been answered, ignored or told someone would get back to me!  This started being raised over 2mths ago.

Looks like after 25yrs, I will be leaving TalkTalk

@zippy1148

As the issue has nothing to do with your settings or set up and everything to do with Talktalk's systems in webmail, I suspect there's little that staff can do to change this.

I would simply use another email service such as Hotmail  / Gmail  / Yahoo etc which tend to have better filtering systems and rely on them for important correspondence.

The Talktalk webmail has simply too many problems associated with it these days, and if you ever leave Talktalk, you then have to pay just for the email, to keep it active.

It's best just not to depend on it.

@sabelo-TT Thank you for taking ownership, but how long do i have to wait for a response or resolution.

I have no problem accessing my account from webmail or different clients and devices.

As in all my previous comments, it is legitimate emauls being screened out your end as spam. That even included emails from my family and by your customer services

Hi @Gliwmaeden2. Yes, I am aware of that I have also asked Mr Jubbly to start his own thread above.

@angelique-TT, this is @zippy1148's thread, not Mr Jubbly's.

We're asking other customers to stick to their own threads instead.

Hi @Gliwmaeden2,

Appreciate what you are saying re piggy backing.

Already had already created my own  post., then noticed there were others in the same boat and posted on some of those for solidarity. In the meantime time there is no traction with my post, which seems to be the case for others too.

The staff may be aware of the issue but there doesn't seem to be any positive acknowledgement or acceptance of it, nevermind a mention of intent to resolve it.

Regards,

MrJubbly

Yes @Gliwmaeden2 is correct, please start your own thread should you still require assistance, thanks.

@MrJubbly, staff are well aware.

It doesn't help to post in another customer's thread though - Talktalk gets a much clearer picture of the numbers affected if you start your own thread.

You need to return to the message board and click on start a topic to begin your own or return to your own if you started one previously on the same issue.

Piggy backing also delays new posts from the OP reaching staff in the workflow.

@sabelo-TT not wishing to piggy on the issue reported here, but please bare in mind that this issue applies to many users who are experiencing the same over aggressive, and illogical, spam filtering on your mail servers, that appears to have come in to being around January this year.

Thanks,

MrJubbly

@zippy1148- I'm sorry that this has taken so long to resolve for you and that you haven't been receiving responses as quick as we would like, We were investigating the issue at hand and I have read over all your previous conversations on this thread. I'm currently looking at finding a more permeant resolution for you. I have now taken over the conversation and will see that a resolution is found for you for this issue.

Please advise are you able to access your TalkTalk email account through https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite/?

I've also alerted the manager, @zippy1148, about the irrelevant questions that you keep having to reply to.

This issue has nothing to do with where you are on the planet....which device you are using .... which browser you are using ...whether android or Apple....whether your Internet service is working!

@nomfezeko-TT, @amahle-TT etc, it's an issue with webmail services only.

It's so slow. I reply to agents almost immediately, and either they never reply, or it takes three or four days. Also, many agents seem to get involved, but none take ownership, or move things forward.

I am messaging frim a laptop and phone. Over the last 10 days it was via wifi in Spain, but home again now. This in no way affects the spam filtering which has been really bad since January

I have answered thus questiin before. I have no problems with Internet access or with any website.

It is emails being filtered out by talktalk at the server and being put in spam. Please read all my previous entries on this pist for more information
