Ask us about your TalkTalk email account and Webmail.

(Already posted this as Reply on another thread but starting new thread since support usually seem to ask this)
Hi,
I recently cancelled my talktalk broadband too and wish to retain my pipex email addresses. I was told to subscribe to everymail. I went to everymail.com and clicked subscribe, entered my pipex email/password, which it recognised and then took me to what looks like my usual talktalk webmail inbox. Looking at the URL though, it does look like the inbox is being hosted by everymail.
The problem is, since I only recently cancelled my talktalk broadband I didn't receive the email about the transition/migration steps that other ex-talktalk customers refer to in other threads on these support pages. In particular, I can find nowhere on the everymail pages where I can actually subscribe as a paying customer and no information on talktalk support pages on how to do this (talktalk's "Email-Transition-FAQs" page has no information on this). From what I understand, the current everymail service I am subscribed to is only a temporary arrangement.
Can anyone from talktalk please help with this ? Maybe the missing email will explain everything if it could be forwarded to me ?
Thanks,
Gary

Glad we caught this promptly, @garyw01.
Sometimes it's best just to ring 03451 720088 and speak to Talktalk. Chat can't finalise the cancellation, which is why you have to wait for a call from them.
A bit inconvenient!

@Gliwmaeden2 I must be some sort of gullible fool:
Virgin claim:
Choose switching when you check out, and add your current provider’s details ready for us to contact them.
Your current contract will end ready for ours to begin, meaning no overlapping bills and no loss of service.
Also, when Virgin order was submitted shortly afterwards received a TalkTalk email mentioning, among other things, "You may receive a free returns bag in the post to send your old equipment back to us. .... blah ... etc"
Process is not as joined up as the impression I got. Don't even know why I am surprised.
Anyway, contacted TalkTalk who will be phoning me to progress the cancellation. Hopefully I will see the MailManager option to subscribe to Everymail once that is done.
Thanks for your help

In the cancellation advice, @garyw01, here:
https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Cancel-your-TalkTalk-service/ta-p/2204737
....customers are always advised to contact Talktalk directly when moving to Virgin.

Thank you so much for this information, I will surely have this checked on my end.

Hi @nomfezeko-TT
I moved from TalkTalk to Virgin Fibre last week. I was under the impression (from what I read while filling out the order details) that Virgin would handle my TalkTalk account cancellation.
Shortly after ordering the Virgin Installation, I did in fact receive an email from TalkTalk: "Virgin Media has let us know that you're thinking of switching broadband providers ... etc, etc". This led me to believe that the TalkTalk account cancellation was in progress.
However, I'm now beginning to wonder if it made any progress beyond that initial email. Maybe you should check that ? It might explain why I have not been offered an option of a paid subscription to Everymail.

Thank you, please give me a moment as I double check into this, I will advise you shortly.

I am not seeing that option. I would like to see that option.
Email is otherwise working fine.
Thanks,
Gary

Still waiting for a response on this.
On another thread in the email support forum I can see that a customer has accessed the Mailbox manager page and is seeing, in addition to the 'Home' and 'Maibox Manager' options, is also seeing a 'Subscribe' option. The latter is an option I have never seen and neither did I ever receive any email notification about Everymail subscriptions which others have also referred to.
Thanks,
Gary

Hi @nomfezeko-TT,
Yes, I am waiting for assistance from yourselves on how I can permanently migrate my pipex.com mailboxes to Everymail.
I wish to subscribe to the Everymail service as a paying subscriber.
I can access Everymail via the "Subscribe" and "Sign In" options on the Everymail home page but see no options where I can subscribe to the paid-for service.
As I understand it my current access to Everymail is a temporary arrangement which will, at some point, cease unless I subscribe to the paid-for service yet I see no way by which I can do this.
In other threads I can see that other ex-TalkTalk customers received an email on this subject.
No such email was received by myself so maybe some further actions need to be taken by yourselves. Perhaps just simply sending this email to me maybe sufficient.
Please can you help me subscribe to the Everymail paid-for service ?
Thanks,
Gary

It looks like you, like me, currently have access both to https://tt.everymail.com/, webmails, and email manager
and to https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/ webmails, and email manager.
Both systems are equivalent.
But the problem is, you want to subscribe to https://tt.everymail.com/, There currently doesn't seem to be a way to do it.
Thanks for your effort

Hi Billx,
Via Everymail --> Subscribe : I arrive at https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/myaccount/... (which from the URL looks like a TalkTalk hosted page). I then see an option for Mailbox Manager. Clicking this takes me to another TalkTalk page listing all the mailboxes for each email address (and aliases if any) that I previously created for the TalkTalk account and various options for managing these.
Via Everymail --> Sign In : I can sign in to any of the above listed TalkTalk inboxes using its email addresses and associated password. This takes me to a what looks identical to the 'usual' TalkTalk Webmail page i.e. mailbox contents identical to when you login direct via a TalkTalk URL ( i.e. they are in sync or in fact probably the same inbox) but accessed via URL https://tt.everymail.com/appsuite/....
Hope this helps,
Gary

Hi, @garyw01
Thank you for editing your message to angelique-TT, allowing the rest of this community to see how the Everymail webmail and the Everymail Mailbox Manager look like.
I understand that you are no longer a TalkTalk broadband customer, but still use a number of legacy TalkTalk email addresses
I myself am a TalkTalk broadband customer, and have a number TalkTalk email addresses. And I have not received any email migration messages.
According to what has come out, customers like me, can continue to use our email addresses under the TalkTalk logo.
Whereas customers like you, would use your previous email addresses under the Everymail logo.
To further understand this weird Everymail system, I did the following:
I logged into, https://tt.everymail.com/myaccount/#/mailbox-manager
and got exactly the same result, as if I logged into, https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/myaccount/#/mailbox-manager
apart from the TalkTalk/Everymail logo.
For both, I used one of my TalkTalk email address and password, and was able to see all my TalkTalk email addresses.
Similarly, I logged into https://tt.everymail.com/appsuite/,
and got exactly the same result, as if I logged into, https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite/
and logged into one of my TalkTalk email addresses, apart from the different logo.
To further help this community, would you please do one more test?
If you log into, https://tt.everymail.com/myaccount/#/mailbox-manager
do you see ALL your previous TalkTalk email addresses there?
Thank you,
Bill

Hi, @garyw01
So, you went to the Everymail.com website, found the 'Subscribe' button, clicked the 'Subscribe' button, entered your pipex email address/password,
but instead of starting the subscribe procedure, it just opened one of your existing pipex email accounts?
Were your able to see a list of your other pipex accounts?
Can you tell the community what that URL looks like while you were logged in?
Thanks,
Bill

Hi angelique-TT,
EDITED: retried Everymail subscribe (so maybe can't be 100% certain what i saw was identical to what I saw on 1st attempt but looks same to me)
I clicked the subscribe button on the Everymail home page and was asked to enter my email/password then submit. This takes me to 'TalkTalk Mailbox Manager' page (at URL https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/myaccount/....) a TalkTalk hosted page showing no options to subscribe to Everymail.
I then signed out and tried the 'Sign In' button on the Everymail home page. Again I was asked to enter my email/password then submit. This takes me to what looks like my TalkTalk Webmail inbox page but at URL https://tt.everymail.com/appsuite/.... (where I'm guessing tt.everymail.com is their subdomain for hosting TalkTalk). Again no options for subscribing to the service were shown (also checked various menus on this page but only the 'usual' webmail options shown) but I can see my TalkTalk inbox in the same up to date state as when I login direct to TalkTalk.
No emails with subscribe details were generated/received as a result of my subscribe (nor sign in) attempts.
Thanks,
Gary

Hi garyw01. Please confirm if you received an option to pay £5 per month or £50 per year for your email service when you were subscribing to everymail?
