Unable to add Onetel.com email address to my account

I have tried to add my legacy @Onetel.com address to my account but I keep getting the message that there are "technical difficulties, come back later"

I have put the address in my profile notes (personal information).

OK, that's good. I just wanted to check if the TalkTalk authentication was not recognising some domains but that appears normal.

 

So, just to say I saw Ady was asking on your other active topic if you'd like him to move the onetel email address to your MyAccount and he'd send you some questions via Community Private Messaging.

No - it comes up with a “How should we send your reset code”

The Reset password now button in the help article  Changing your email password will take you to password reset and recovery. 


Don't go as far as changing the password, but just tell me if, after entering the onetel email address, completing the reCAPTCHA tick box and selecting the Continue button - does it come up with a 'no domain error message'?

My access seems to have been granted over the weekend so I assumed all was ok.

Hi robincm1 

 

I see you're still waiting on having email client access restored to the onetel mailbox. If the withdrawal of email client access has also removed the authentication process that adding an email account to MyAccount uses then that's why you get the 'technical difficulties' message.

 

So, what I suggest is wait until TalkTalk Support pick up your earlier topic and when email client access is restored then try again via MyAccount.
