Hi,
I recently factory reset my sagem router.
My router keeps auto changing channel even though I set it manually.
This is causing daily wifi issues.
Please may an OCE fully disable the wifi optimisation on my line?
Thank you
Kind regards

Hi bananarama1
We can look at your wireless set up, where is the router located? Is it near to any other electrical devices?
Unfortunately I can't credit your account to purchase a router.

Good morning Debbie,
For some strange reason, internet usage over WiFi becomes intermittent.
I have had this issue in the past, disabling WiFi optimisation sorted the issue.
Do you have any suggestions?
I've seen a nice router on Amazon for £89.
Perhaps give me a credit of £89 to my account?
Kind regards,

Hi bananarama1
We only provide the Sagemcom WIFI hub now, unless you have FTTP then we have packages that come with an eero.
What happens when you don't change the WIFI channels? Is the wireless connection dropping out?

Please advise me of my options?
Who can help me to solve the problem?
Do you have any other routers different to the sagemcom router?

Hi bananarama1,
I'm sorry but as Debbie has said, we no longer disable wifi optimisation as it's been found to cause other issues

Hi Debbie,
Please can you get a department to switch the WiFi Optimisation off.
Otherwise, I will have no choice but to raise a formal complaint.
All I want is for the router to stay on the channel i manually select.
It is not too much to ask in my opinion.
Thank you.

Hi @bananarama1
Apologies, we are no longer able to switch off WIFI optimisation on the line.
Thanks
Debbie

@bananarama1, it's always been the case that wifi optimisation would kick back into gear whenever you did a factory reset or with certain updates.
It's no longer feasible for forum staff to switch this off.
They'll reply during the day.
