@Deanosafc24

The only other thing that comes to mind from something else I have seen, although this just seemed to affect streaming services, is to check whether you have Private Relay turned on in iCloud.

Hi @Deanosafc24

This is going to be very difficult to recommend anything, as I have no way of testing with an iPhone. You could try the new Sagemcom Wi-Fi Hub 3, but you might have the same problem, I have no idea. The only safe recommendation would seem to be an eero. However, if you buy your own from Amazon, once connected to a TalkTalk network, it may become locked to TalkTalk.

@KeithFrench

I tried it quite recently as it happens and had no issues. From memory I never had any issues with previous WiFi Hubs either.

Hi @ferguson

I did bring this to the attention of TalkTalk's Devices team. Initially, it only affected the Sagemcom Hub 1, now it affects both Hubs 1 & 2 (I have no idea about the new Hub 3, as again I do not have an iPhone). Debbie spent quite some time, as did others from the old team who had iPhones & but they couldn't reproduce it. I don't suppose you could try your iPhone & Hub3 for me?

Where @Deanosafc24 is concerned, the first thing is to find out is if he uses digital voice or not. Hence why I asked him, but he has not got back to me on that as yet.

Ah, OK. I was thinking that if this was a known bug then TalkTalk might provide a replacement router? That is the tree I was barking up, perhaps wrongly, to avoid having to buy one elsewhere.

@Deanosafc24

To otherwise answer your question, you need any modern router that will work with a separate modem, the choice is wide.

Looking back, @Deanosafc24 has reported problems using his iPhone with Talktalk's routers for over a year, @ferguson.

There have been a handful of customers mentioning it in the same threads when the issue's cropped up.

Even if it is still copper, DV can still be used. It is on some Fibre 65s using copper. I have been aware of this bug for ages, but as I don't have an iPhone, I could never prove it. I also remember the "old team" using their iPhones could not replicate it.

Fibre 250 will be a G.fast product will it not, so still copper landline?

I am not familiar with the bug mentioned earlier which is why I deferred to you.

Do you use TalkTalk's Digital Voice component of the Hub 2?

I have the WIFI HUB 2 and been affected by this NO INTERNET CONNECTION IPHONE BUG, so I’m thinking of getting myself a decent router.

Which router do you have presently and why do you want to buy a different one?

With so little to go on, it is difficult to answer this. Please can you be more specific about your requirements?
