Fibre 35

I renewed my fibre 35 contract yesterday and reading the contract, it states
“You can look forward to an estimated download speed between 7.6 Mbps and 8.5 Mbps with a minimum guaranteed download speed of 6.8 Mbps, a maximum speed of 8.5 Mbps and upload speed of 2.2 Mbps“
Surely this is wrong. Last time I renewed on fibre 35, the contract stated
“You can look forward to an estimated download speed between 36.0 Mbps and 37

Hi @sjh24
Thanks for your reply.
The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.
Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

HI @sjh24
Thanks for the Private Message.
Would you like us to send a replacement router first for testing so this can be ruled out?

Hello,
Ok thanks for confirming. As the line tests are clear, I think we should send a replacement router for testing purposes to rule this out. Would this be ok?

I sorry I don’t.
Everything has been good until the last couple of weeks. It is sometimes 36 but then it drops or the red light comes on

Good morning,
Thanks for trying and I'm sorry to hear this. Do you have an alternative router that you can test with?

Might be worth doing a 30 minute switch off and then see if speeds come back more consistently after that, @sjh24.
Once it's on again leave it on continuously for staff to check after the weekend.

Sometimes 35 sometimes 10 or 11
it varies
when I report it being slow, it then goes up to 35 again but after a few days it’s slower again ,

What speeds are you actually getting?
Sometimes the contract details don't actually show the correct information even - yes very poor.
Give support a call today: 03451 720088, closing at 6pm (not open Sunday) or use Chat (open both days from 9am), @sjh24.
Staff are not back on here before Monday.
Fibre 35 is only Fibre to the Cabinet, and the last bit is still copper. It may have deteriorated since your last contract started. There's a general push towards full fibre, so they'll maybe steer you in that direction.
