Why does my TalkTalk IP address appear to be an Amazon one ?

This shows when using Speedtest and any IP checker...........

it shows ISP as Amazon

And my internet connection is like wading through sticky treacle - very "laggy" - although the actual connection speed is normal (65 + Mbps)

Hi

When IP addresses or ranges are added it can take around 24hrs for those updates to propagate to all relevant servers to update the routing tables.

Karl.

It looks as if it was a TT fault - Perhaps failing to rename the IP !!

The ISP was shown as Amazon rather than TT

I rebooted the router to reset the IP - Which is now correctly showing as TT

I have tried to post a screenshot but have not been able to.....

No - it looks more as if TT have used a load of redundant Amazon IP addresses and haven't reregistered them

Hi

Many companies use Amazon web services (AWS), so it could be related to this.
