Please can you push an update to my router please?

I have a FAST 5364 3.00  running GUI 5.100.1 and Firmware SG4k100174

 

It keeps rebooting. I guess the firmware is old and so pobably the first thing to check.

 

Can an update be pushed to it or do I need to donwload an image and upload it myself?

I've ordered the router, it should be with you within a couple of working days (it will be the same make and model)

Tried resetting (though other than change ssid name and passwords, no other customisation had been done).

 

No change.

OK thanks. Could you reset the router to factory default settings and monitor to see if the issue continues. Please let us know how you get on.

No, the original problem with the Huawei hub was it rebooting randomly. This hub just keeps ceasing comms with connected devices, causing me to switch off wifi on the device and then instantly switch back on.

Thanks. Wifi congestion doesn't appear to be a problem in your local area. Have you noticed if devices drop when they are further away from the router or do they also drop when close to the router in the same room?

No, all devices are not affected at the same time. Seems random.

Well, after a couple of weeks it seems the problems are back. Devices (iPhones, iPad) that have a wifi signal but not internet. Switching off wifi (on the device) and back on again fixes the problem. It’s happening throughout the day now. It seems like the router ceases communicating with the connected device until you disconnect and reconnect. Note that internet returns as soon as you reconnect, not some later, so it doesn’t seem like the router has lost connection to the internet - just won’t talk to the devices. Line check shows no problems either.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

 

Yes the router arrived next day - very impressive service thank you.

 

So far there has been just one reboot. Further monitoring is needed. I will update in a week or so.
