Router Info:

Device Type:  DG8041W
CPE Description: EchoLife DG8041W Home Gateway

SN: 2153035991QUL5130706

Hardware Version: l.0.01

Software Version: v1.08t

Log entries that I believe indicate the problem:

2024-02-24 22:56:12 [Error][Alarm-Log] AlarmID:104001,AlarmLevel:Error,Device reset. Cause: [0], Terminal:OTHER

2024-02-25 01:01:10 [Error][Alarm-Log] AlarmID:104001,AlarmLevel:Error,Device reset. Cause: [0], Terminal:OTHER

As mentioned in the subject line, router keeps resetting itself every so often, no noticeable pattern. Has been doing so for the last couple of weeks.

Please assist.

Hi MariaGoltyakova

Thanks for your reply.

The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

Hi MariaGoltyakova

I'm really sorry about this.

I will need to send you a different make and model of router (Sagemcom) Are you happy for me to arrange this?

Thanks

This firmware is known to be unstable, I have asked one of TalkTalk's support to pick your thread up and decide the best way forward.

They aim to respond within 48 hours (Monday - Friday) excluding Bank Holidays, but if more urgent you can always try the Service Centre on 0345 172 0088. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first.

The TalkTalk Community has now moved to a peer-to-peer support model. This means that the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - TalkTalk Help & Support
