Router dead

As of today, my Fibre 65 router has an orange flashing light forever. There's no WiFi from it, and I can't get an ip address using a wired connection so can't access the admin console.

 

TalkTalk have said that they've detected a fault and an engineer will come to my street and fix it in the next 2-3 days but they won't need to come into my house. 

 

The issue can't just be with the line though- I should be able to connect to the router without it being connected to the outside world.

 

I've done a reset using the small button in the hole in the back but that isn't helped.

 

My fear is that I'll wait 2-3 days only to receive a message telling me that the line is fine and I'll need to wait another 2-3 days for a new router.

 

Anyone had anything similar to this?

Hi @DanielL1,

 

The support team here on the community will be able to pick this up tomorrow, if they agree that the router itself likely has a fault they will be able to arrange a replacement for you.
