Hi John

If it's only the PC upstairs experiencing issues with speed then it would be worth testing with a different extension cable to see if this helps.

Good afternoon Michelle

plugged laptop into master socket got 42 meg down and 17 up

so seems to be dropping speed from master socket to pc upstairs ,

only thing i have not done is swap extension cable for new one to see if that helps ,

but pc is only 16 foot upstairs in spare bedroom and up to 2 week ago was getting 52 meg down and 17 up from upstairs so i do not think it is cable unless it is faulty of course

so not a long cable really,

only other thing i was going to ask is , is my configuration correct as i have it micro filter from master socket then extension cable the micro filter then cable to router

hope that helps

confused John

Morning,

I've re-checked the connection stats now and the sync speed looks unstable. Can I just confirm, is the router connected to the test socket behind the faceplate at the moment?

Thanks
