I renewed my existing contract a few weeks ago.

But today I had a strange call from a bt engineer who said he was just going to add fibre speed to my copper landline.

Why have you done this when i already had an upgrade to full fibre with a fibre cable to my house on a free talk talk upgrade a few years ago and my network runs on fibre.

He had to check and said my connection on fibre is ok but could not understand why  he was told to add it to my landline ???

I am still on fibre and its working ok why do i need both??

I suspect it was because of the copper leave behind you have to retain your number.
