Hi.
Today my router shows a constant orange light. No connections possible. Reset, left for several minutes, rebooted still same problem. Checked all cables and connections. Unplugged then and popped back in. Rebooted, still same problem. Requested a line check via talk talk, states no issues.
Really stuck now and need to get back online a quicky.
Any support greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi
I'm going to put the other router (the one I'm having problems with) now, next 5 mins.
Please can you do your checks.
This problematic router has connected. Can you advise what the problem is.
The other router I tried though connected straight away but keeps dropping out.
Can you advise what the problem is. I really don't want this to be a problem over Christmas.

Okay no worries, thank you very much for plugging the old router. In order for us to know what the issue with your current router is, we need to run checks. Since you are at work please let us know once you are back at home so that we can further diagnose the issue. Thanks

Hi
The old router is in but need to take that back very shortly.
I think I've proven the issue is the router, see my other posts, so I'd like a replacement please.
I really don't want zero internet over Christmas.
I have to go to work now so I can't do any further checks or tests.
Thank you

Hi there @Mycjets. I am very sorry to hear this, I will run checks to see why you have a constant solid orange light. Please plug in your old router so that we can test with it. After doing so please let us know. Thanks

That helps, it seems to indicate that your own router has gone pffft and needs replacing. Especially as it is now an old model. Hopefully the support team will agree and arrange this when they pick up tomorrow.

Here's another update.
Now tried another old router, same type from a friend and after several minutes I have a white light and connection.
Has my router packed up??
Router Device version. DG8041W-2.T5
Thanks.

Here's an update.
Rebooted, factory reset. Orange Router light comes on steady then flashes for a bit then goes off completely.
Repeats the same cycle.
Thanks.

Thanks. I will try that. I've noticed it's flashing orange now. Still nothing further though. The router is a Sagemcom-FAST5364.
I'll remove all wired connections and try as suggested.
Thanks.

The switch off needs to be at least 30 minutes, @Mycjets, not just a few.
You can also try a total factory reset:
Staff will follow up after 7am tomorrow morning.
