hello. Received my eero 6 today, my activation date is tomorrow though, but switched it on and it perfectly works on our laptops, TV, phones etc. But my Ring Gen 2 Doorbell just won’t connect to it. Is ir because activation is tomorrow and its not fully working yet or this is another issue ?? Going on a long holiday on Friday and need it to get working ASAP.

Nice one, the good old turn it off and turn it back on again solution! 🙂

Thanks, actually I did that many times and didn’t help. Called Ring and advised to hold restart button for 20 seconds and then it connected fine!

If you go to Settings > Troubleshooting > My device won't connect > My device is 2.4GHz only then that gives you an option to temporarily pause 5 GHz. Try that and see if your doorbell connects.

At the bottom of the Eero app is the Settings button. Near the bottom of the Settings page there is a Troubleshooting button which has a couple of options to get troublesome devices online.
The Eeros produce a notoriously weak signal so it may be that your doorbell is out of range. The Eero is, however, just a wireless router. It is not an essential part of the full fibre setup. You should be able to plug the new fibre box's ethernet cable into the WAN socket of your existing router, use your existing wi-fi, enjoy your holiday and wrestle with the Eero on your return.
(My Eero will be on its way back to Talk Talk in the next few days because of its range and ethernet limitiations.)
Please follow up if any of this works!
