EERO Low speed

Changed from FTTC (75Mbps) to FTTP (150Mbps) last week.

The router is in the hallway with only one wall between it and all the other rooms.

My house is on one level and only 850sq ft, so I should not need and range extenders (beacons).

Get the full 150Mbps right beside the router, but usually less than 50Mbps in adjacent rooms.

The signal strength is good everywhere and very little on-channel interference.

Last week with FTTC my TalkTalk Home Hub (Technicolor) I was getting the full speed in all rooms all the time on 5GHz and almost full speed on 2.4GHz.

Is it possible to connect the Home Hub to the ONT using the WAN port, and do I have to change any settings?

Ah I see.

They pop up from the Sagemcom router as well. Does it have mesh backhaul?

Hidden SSID's are normally used for the Eero Backhaul (Meshing) on the 5ghz frequency.

Now there's two more Hidden SSIDs coming up on Eero 5GHz+

Thanks, thats great!

First tests Home Hub is showing 6dBm stronger signal but slightly slower speeds.  Channel width the same at 80MHz on 5GHz and 20MHz on 2.4.  I'll do some more tests at the weekend.

What is this "Hidden SSID" thats coming up on 5GHz  from the Home Hub?

If it has a WAN port just connect to the ONT, nothing else to do as the service is DHCP.
