Hello,
I recently received my new eero 6 for my Fullfibre150 package and the VoIP Grandstream. My query is regarding the setup of these and using a 5-port Switch to connect my Hive Hub and Ethernet extender. Both Technically require direct connection to the eero?
My setup currently is working where i have the eero connected directly to the ONT and the other port is connected to the switch for the other devices, would this work in the long run? The only thing not working is the phone line, the Grandstream does not show a blue light for the phone won't call out or receive calls.
Hope above makes sense and able to help guide me.
Thanks
MC

Hello Michelle,
So it goes on...
An Open Reach engineer called today as promised. He looked through my system and spent probably about an hour on the phone to his TT contact number.
He explained to me that TT had asked OR to install a double ONT which is an expensive business device that shouldn't be installed in a domestic property. He said I currently have two services, the FF65 and the FF150 however my ONT can only see one which is the FF65. The problem is not with the wiring/fibre; he was talking about 2 OGEA's, at which point I lost the thread. He left after spending well over 1.5 hours here.
The same TT guy that I spoke to yesterday has just called me back and I passed on to him what had happened.
He told me that my FF65 will have to terminated before my FF150 is then assigned to my ONT (I think that's what he said). It's all getting too complicated for me.
He apologised for all the messing about that is going on and did mention compensation. He will speak to someone tomorrow who should be able to help get me connected to the FF150 service with the VOIP working.
He will call me again tomorrow to update me.
He asked me to reset the VOIP device while he monitored what it was doing, so it is certainly physically present on the system.
At least I have FF65 and my landline is forwarding to my mobile successfully at the moment.
Cheers Colin

Hi Chris. I'm having the same issue. Just to be clear, unplug the eero from the ONT, plug in the Grandstream to the ONT and follow your procedure, then unplug the Grandstream, replug in the eero, connect the Grandstream back into the ethernet switch. Is this what you have suggested?
Cheers Colin

OK thanks. Can you try the following plug the DVA (grandstream) into the ONT, wait for the broadband light to come on then perform a pinhole reset of the DVA, this should get the phone light back on within about 5 mins, once that comes on can you change setup back to normal. Please let us know how you get on

Hell Chris,
Yes it is. The other blue lights on the Grandstream are solid blue but nothing for the phone line.
Thanks

Hi MGColdrich,
yes, that setup should work in the long run. So just to confirm, you have the Grandstream DVA connected to the switch?
