Hi

I’ve been live for a couple days now but unfortunately I haven’t enough Ethernet ports on the eero pro 6 there is only 2 one is used to connect to the modem leaving one free- I need one for lighting hub which is used for my disabled daughter to switch on the lights via Alexia and an other one which my CCTV runs off at the minute I’m having to keep my old provider switched on which isn’t a solution long term

Any suggestions ?

also I’m having problems with signal dropping in a couple of rooms and the ring door bell at the back won’t connect I spoke to someone on live chat for 2 hours yesterday asked me to complete an ip address for the items that drop and said that is now working it’s not I’m on fibre 900 which offers whole home connection does it not ? So why do I have to argue that my current eero isn’t enough

please help

No, they're just plug and play. You lose one ethernet port on the eero, but gain however many there are on the switch.

I had looked at that - but not been a techie I wasn’t sure if I could run both items at the same time or if there was an actual switch I’ve to use to switch to different ports you know like some hdmi adapter switch’s for the tv?

Get an ethernet switch which can add more ports to your eero, have a look here for examples.
