Full Fibre Appointment - being phoned constantly

Can anyone help me please? TalkTalk have phoned me over 6 times now over the last two days and I want it to stop.

I was offered an unwanted appointment via email to upgrade to Full Fibre and told to choose a button to approve the appointment. I don't want it and the date was unsuitable anyway. The date was yesterday. The only other option was to phone and get a new date. So I did nothing.

I don't like phones. I speak to friends and family on them and avoid them for everything else. I was annoyed by the only option was to phone.

I was sent a letter in the post and a text about the appointment and I didn't confirm it. I was then texted by the local company doing the work saying they were coming to do the appointment - that I never confirmed. I found an email address for them and said I wasn't going to be in. They still turned up.

I went on chat yesterday for over 45 minutes asking to stop the phone calls. It went round and around in circles saying they must come to do this work, and they must phone to arrange a date. I told them I don't like the phone and wanted the calls to stop. Still I am getting phone calls.

Could they be stopped please? I am started to feel bullied about this.

Hi Jodis

Did you manage to get through to cancel the appointment?

None of us can help you with this on here, and staff are not back before Monday, @Jodis.

I'm afraid that contacting them by phone / Chat is your best option.

There may be Facebook etc support too.

@RenAy, it's good to share experience, but, as with your own thread, posting before staff have had a chance to reply can delay the progress of the topic in the queue for attention.

@Jodis, if this is not picked up shortly, it will be Monday before you get a response.

In the meantime contact with Talktalk via phone /Chat is available  - see hours advertised at the foot of this page:

Hi, I share your pain but I didn't have phone calls, I had letters and text messages that I tried to cancel through and it kept saying we can not help you.  They DO NOT make it easy to cancel. I felt bullied as well and pressurised. I tried on here but didn't get far, and then on twitter and finally went on the talktalk website this morning  I spent a fraught hour on the chat feature and I have finally managed to cancel the full fibre upgrade that I also do not want and did not order. You have to be persistant though. Even after stating quite a few times I did not want it, order it or request it. It still took a while before they finally agreed to cancel it. Just kept telling me it was free.. I have kept a copy of the chat transcript.  If they start pestering me again I don't know if I will stay with them. I have never been so stressed and anxious in all my life over something as simple as an internet connection.  Good luck.
