Full Fibre Router

I have received a email about a upgrade to my exisiting connection to Full Fibre. As i need my phone this will also include digital voice. At present i use a router with 4 outputs, all of which i use.

I also use one of the outputs that goes to a power line adapter to hard wire cameras. How do i specify that i need the same type of router, but with a digital voice output. A  eero router would not be right for me.

Thanks

Hi tsmiggy

Sorry that you are having problems online,

Only the full fibre team can amend a install date we cant do it on the community.

Sorry

Hi. I originally tried on my Android Phone, i have now tried it on my Windows Laptop, and it behaves exactly the same. Are you not in a position to amend it to 26th March between 1300-1800 hours. Which was the earliest appointment, before i submitted it, and it went no further.

Thankyou

Hi. To be honest i am more than happy as i am. It is talktalk trying to impose this on me. And this is not the first time, and like i said on both occasions, it as not been a good exercise.

To now spend time on the phone trying to sort this, is not something i really want to do. I accept that things change, but it is not me that wants the change it is talktalk. If they have a system in place to change a date, then it would be very helpful, if that system actually worked.

Meanwhile i will try a different browser, but i have no intentions of hanging on a phone.

Thank you

Good afternoon,

Does it also happen if you try a different browser? I'd recommend live chatting our team directly as they will be able to check what future availability is available  for you.

Thanks

I have tried to change my appointment date, as i am not around on the date, that i was sent, it fails to work, Amending Appointment, this window will close once the appointment has been amended, it never closes, and just reverts back to the original date

Not exactly feeling confident with the whole precedure to be honest. As it stands He/She can turn up on the date supplied, but no one will be in.

I had a very similar experience many months ago with Openreach, and in the end i gave up. Now it is CityFibre.

Hi tsmiggy,

As Keith has said, a Sagemcom router is supplied with Fibre 65 but faster packages are supplied with an eero

The offer was made via email, and they specifically mentioned digital voice, in the email. When i say offer, it came across more like i was being told, and given a time and date. I must admit, i do not usually take lightly being told,i would sooner be asked.

@tsmiggy, make sure you specifically ask for VOIP with your full fibre order on Chat or 03451 720088.

Don't use the online system via My Account, as it tends to default to data only, and usually doesn't have the best deals.

If it is Full Fibre 150 or above then eero routers are the standard, plus a Grandstream ATA for the digital voice. There is the Sagemcom FAST 5464 (Hub 2) that has the same four LAN ports plus a phone port to connect a standard landline handset to (it does the Digital Voice conversion internally within the router. However, that is only normally supplied to customers with Full Fibre 65.

The way to get extra LAN ports with either solution is to buy a small Gigabit switch that has enough ports on it (one port is needed to connect to the router. Here is an example of a 5 port gigabit switch, leaving you four ports for your devices (you might need a 9 port or similar if your needs are greater):-
