Full Fibre availability

My contract came to an end so I've renewed, I was hoping to renew to Full Fibre 150. However I've been told this isn't available. Yet when I've searched TalkTalk for a contract as a new customer it was. I also received an email in June 2023 informing me that I can upgrade to Full Fibre.

 

When I search my address on Openreach it's available and shows TalkTalk as a provider. 

 

So why is it not available?

When we go into existing accounts the ability to request full fibre is not available at this time, it will be coming soon and we will be able to upgrade you.

Their offer of an upgrade might have been simply to Full Fibre65 (so upgrading the service infrastructure rather than speed, though the average with FTTP seems to be higher than for Fibre65 to the cabinet)?

 

It seems to be more straightforward setting up as a new customer, on the whole. They may have their own business decisions for it, but it can be down to basic practicalities, availability of engineers and the infrastructure supplier.

 

Having it available in the street is not the whole story.
