Hi there,
My current contract ends on the 8th of this month so I'm hoping to start a new one but I have a few worries.
I'm wanting to basically go from fibre 65 to the fibre 150, but it says I'll need an engineer visit. This worries me because I suffer with extreme PTSD and anxiety and the thought of someone entering my home makes me have panic attacks.
Since I have full fibre will someone have to come into my home as I won't be able to handle it in any way. I already have the little white box and fibre wires set up so will I be able to just set it up myself? Please help, I'm honestly scared..

Hi Caitlinatkinson
Just to clarify, you are currently on FTTC Fibre 65 an upgrade to Full Fibre 150 will require an engineer visit to install the ONT, I can see that you have since renewed your Fibre 65 package.
Thanks for staying with us.

The best way to do your renewal, @Caitlinatkinson, is to speak to the Talktalk agents directly.

Don't do it through My Account offers and upgrades.
If you simply do a renewal of the same package it will start the same day.
If you change to Fibre150 it will be classed as an upgrade.
Most people feel a bit anxious about all this as we don't always know what effect work might have on the house etc. You are not alone in that.
As you have all the basics already installed any upgrade should not be so intrusive. Talktalk usually requires people to be at home on the day in case an engineer does need to visit, even when it was a case of upgrading from copper ADSL to the FTTC version of Fibre65.
