Good Morning,

I've finally got round to checking my Eero 6 5ghz channel. I have some devices that cannot use channel 155 so can I request like others have that this be changed to the lower range please.

You can change the password for each channel 2.4ghz/5ghz on the router setup page by:

Enter routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. The router login window displays. Enter the router admin user name and password.

This can isolate the appliances that won't connect to the 5ghz.

Michelle has asked me to let you know that it has been passed back to the devices manager. We'll let you know when we have any more information

Hi Michelle

Just done update to Eero to 7.4.2-15.  Eero restarted network.

Have now run WiFi Analyser - still shows as 5ghz as Ch 149 (155)

Hi,

Just to add to this, I've also chased this for an update with our Devices Manager.

The simple way to find out which devices are connected to the 5GHz band is to use the eero app. From there go to Home & tap the device in question, it will tell you which eero it is connected to (if you have more than one) as well as which band (Connection section).

Thanks Michelle,

Since it is not possible to temporarily disable the 2.4ghz band to try and force a 5ghz connection, I am unsure which devices may connect via 5ghz. Also, cannot have a separate ssid for 5ghz on Eero 6.  It does not help when manufacturers do not state whether their devices can support the higher channel numbers. I know my mobile, TV and Ipad should be able to connect via 5ghz, and my printer is due to replaced shortly which can have 5ghz connectivity.

WiFi Analyser shows 1% use of 5Ghz.

I'm sorry to hear this. Would it be possible to confirm which devices won't connect please and I can pass this over to our Devices Team?

Thanks
