I've got "Fibre to the cabinet" where I live. Pretty happy with it but my TT contract is about to expire so I'm shopping around, and other providers seem to want to push me onto a digital 'phone line at this time. But renewal offers when I log in to TalkTalk make no mention of this (and aren't competitive !). Yes, I know I should ring 03451720088, but on a Sunday I just get told to log in to my account to see renewal offers, it's a bit like saying "goodbye".
I'm not actually put off by the idea of having to plug my 'phone into the modem/router instead of the linebox or splitter, and maybe I should bite the bullet now rather than have TalkTalk spring it on me at a time of their choosing. Well actually I _am_ a bit put off by the fact that the TT "WiFi Hub 2" looks just like the old 2018 version that I never loved, and very soon stopped using !
So my question is, are TT likely to move me to a digital 'phone service at renewal ? Or might they on request ?
Tried to post a version of this question last night, but this forum rejected my post with an idiotic message about "flooding". Never mind, if it does it again, I'm off !

Hi Branta
VoIP phone service is only available on our FTTP services, which is not available to you at the moment, so renewals will be on the same service that you are currently on with the phone over the copper line.

Have you used Talktalk's Full Fibre checker, @Branta?

The best deals are done through phone or Chat, @Branta, the latter of which is open on Sundays.
If you are not fixed up with the use of VOIP at the time of setting up, it may be complicated later, so be sure to order it to keep your phone number with the new set up. The Hub2 is the simplest solution, if it's available for you.
No complications compared with mobiles and the Eero, and much simpler as you just plug in the traditional phone at the back of the router. Not offered with the higher speeds, but staff here can usually fix you up with one if preferred.
