Had no phoneline from start

Went live on 6th Jan, Phone line never worked. No calls in or out.. contacted on chat and calls, several times over last 3weeks. Had several engineers out.. Finally told that the line has been deceased, Need to contact Talktalk and ask for line to be ceased & reappointed. Spent hours trying to do that yesterday, went round and round from department to department, got nowhere..  Bill was taken on 15th even though i haven't received full service, and charged for call I can't make?? .. Tried again today after call from customer service Manger, Who agreed what the engineers notes said on the file... Got passed around again, for 4hours, put on hold then another person answered, asked what i needed help with, I explained, then was told they would make whole new account, done 2 credit checks and was told it would be sorted in 3-4 working days. Just had email to say its going live on the 10Th Feb...  terrible customer service.

We've put in complaint due to originally signing up in 15 December 2024, Were promised it would go live on 19th Dec 2024, but lack of engineers over charismas put it back to the 6th.Jan 2025.   Meaning we were unable to face time with family Christmas day...  Its been one disaster after another, The "experts" were no help, did not listen when told details about the problem, & wanted a 74 year old women with arthritic hands to undo the telephone junction box, to check wires....   Told we would get automatic compensation but now complaints been closed as we were forced to open new account..  Not sure if that affects the complaint put in by the last customer service manager we spoke to..

Sorry for the problems,  once the new order completes we should be able to reclaim the other number and re-number your new account.
