Landline Fault

Hi.

 

I have a problem with my phone. I cannot receive calls. If somebody tries to call me they get cut off straight away. The phone does not ring here but if I dial 1471 I get the details of the last caller. I can still make outgoing calls with no problem so far.

 

I did report this in a live chat via my account yesterday and was told I'd get a call back between 12:00 and 14:00 that day but there was no call and the fault is still there.

I will run some tests and if a fault is detected we will pass it to Openreach.

The line tests picked up a potential fault which could be internal wiring. Can you connect your phone direct to your test socket and see if calls come in.

Hi.

 

Just disconnected all my equipment and plugged one handset into the test socket. Tried to make a call in from my mobile with the same result. Call ended after 3 seconds, phone did not ring and 1471 confirms caller details.
