Noisy phone line

Phone line is crackly, broadband is fine. The problem is clearly the line entering the house; this has happened before. I need an Openreach engineer. Must I go through Talktalk to get to Openreach?

Thanks Chris - I was very confused by that second fault appearing overnight.

I thought this was cancelled. It was for another fault (permanent engaged signal) that started this morning, which cleared eventually. This was dealt with by trisha on the online chat; she arranged the Talktalk engineer and then cancelled it. I had already reported the noisy line yesterday on job REP-13961427.

Yes, I tried two different phones in the test socket, without the router.
Thanks.

Hi nicpow
I'm sorry to hear this.
I've completed a line test and this is clear - No faults detected.
Did you previously test with a different phone at the test socket? (with the router removed)
The next step will be an Openreach engineer visit to the property, we will need to arrange this visit for you.
