Phone not working on Full Fibre - says "Voice not registered".

We had Full Fibre installed some months ago. The phone has never worked. City Fibre did the installation, physically connected the phone, but left before the phone was demonstrated. 

City Fibre were working locally recently, they checked the connections were ok and said to talk to TalkTalk.

I have had long calls with TalkTalk help and they asked me to check the router. The router said "Voice Not Registered".

TalkTalk help just sent me back to the beginning.

The Router has a green phone socket.

Internet is ok although the Router does flash orange regularly.

Can anyone help me to resolve this please.

All sorted now. Apparently something had to be re-configured remotely at the exchange. There was nothing that could be done from my end apparently. The fix also seems to have stopped the white light on the router flashing orange fairly regularly..

Hi @Davidxxx 

 

tests are showing an issue with Metaswitch authentication.

 

I've passed this to networks to see if it needs escalaiting to our Voice App teams.

Did you specify that you wanted VOIP at the time of ordering the full fibre, @Davidxxx.?

 

It can't be added later and wouldn't be added if ordered online.

 

Did you order via My Account or speak to Chat/ phone support to make your order?
