Phone still not working

Hi

My phone stopped working the day we were meant to go full fibre in September 2023 and hasn't worked since.

Yesterday we finally had full fibre installed, but I won't go into that.

I have moved my phone onto the new full fibre system and I am still without my phone.

We do not have a dialing tone, no noise on the line at all and our phone says "Check phone line".

I have changed the phone and the cable but nothing changes.

What is my next move?

Regards Miles

Karl

Horray, My phone is now working, I can dial in and call out.

My mobile comes up as No Caller ID, but I suppose that's something to do with the phone itself.

Many thanks Karl.

Best Regards

Hi

With Full Fibre, the Sagemcom Router will connect to the broadband port of the ONT, that's the box on the wall with the lights on, you should then remove the sticker that covers the phone port at the back of the Sagemcom router and connect your phone into this port.

Try that. give it 5 minutes to initialise then see if there is a dial tone on the phone.

Thanks

Karl.

Hi Karl

I have the Cagemcom Router and I'm connected into the socket labelled "Broadband".

The digital socket is covered with a "use when instructed" label.

Hi Miles

Can you describe the setup please.  Do you have the Sagemcom Router with the phone port at the rear, with the phone connected to this, or do you have the EERO router with the Digital Voice Adapter connected ?

Thanks

Karl.
