Porting number away from Talktalk

I have signed up with community fibre who say that they are waiting for talktalk to approve the port request to move my landline over (the date it shouldve been complete is 20th June 2023. I am unable to receive any calls to my number and it keeps saying I have dialled an incorrect number. Can somebody let me know how long it takes for talktalk to approve the request.

The cease on your old line is still pending, I presume while community fibre try to process the port what have they said about this? 

 

Its down to the gaining provider at this point.

This is an interesting one. Community Fibre in London and South East is one of TalkTalk's full fibre partners. There will be processes for Community Fibre to connect TalkTalk customers. But you're ceasing to be a TalkTalk customer. The release of the landline number will depend on the status of your TalkTalk service. If there's a cancellation going through then the number porting will be held until the cancel completes.

 

TalkTalk will advise you on the status of your former account but you should liaise with Community Fibre to progress the acquisition of the number and its porting to Community Fibre's VOIP service.
