Rung by Talktalk. They hung up immediately

My mobile phone rang earlier. Just one ring, then went off. A few seconds later my landline rang, again just once then went off. The calls came from 08009555544 which I believe is a talktalk number. Do they usually do this? I did ring talktalk yesterday about ending my subscription. I wonder if it's connected.

Thanks. They rang again earlier. They were ringing to offer me a better price for the tarrif I'm on as I'd put in a cancellation of service to them. I've accepted.
