Some calls not able to get through

I had someone try and call me on my home phone today from a company but they could not get through. It shows in my caller ID list as a private number on my phone but it didn't ring this end. I have had this happen a few times before but just assumed they were nuisance numbers I had blocked previously. This number would not have been blocked. Is anyone able to tell me why this would happen please?

I've ran a test on your line to check for any issues, and all is clear.

Also, there are no services active that would cause the call to reject.

Does your phone ring with other calls ?
