For some  reason I cannot add caller display from the calling features menu. In fact there are no options in this menu and a recent call to  Talktalk hasn't been able to restore this. The feature was present for a long time until just a couple of months ago.

A previous box that directs me to this page (telephone settings) has a comment at the bottom saying ' inactive add-on' which I suspect is relevant to this problem.

Any ideas?

Thank you, I can now see that the calls boost is active. I will keep checking in on Caller Display, and I appreciate your efforts on this matter.👍

I can confirm that the calls boost is active on the account, 

 

Caller display unfortunatley keeps failing to activate, this will need to be investigated by the network team.

Hi,

 This may not come as any surprise, but there is no way for me to confirm / check that the unlimited UK calls boost is on my  account because it goes to the same screen as caller display should (home phone calling boosts and privacy features).

I found an email confirmation from 30th September 2024 after I'd negotiated a new deal for a 24 month contract with TalkTalk which was to confirm the new package which was fine but it did state that I had removed Caller Display. I don't recall agreeing to that, and as a 'complimentary privacy feature' I can't see why chopping it out would help to make for a cheaper deal. Could this have been the point where Telephone Features became an 'inactive add on'

This problem with adding / removing boosts has been going on for several years now, @armchairgav, though my impression is that it's becoming more prevalent. 

 

Part of the issue is that it doesn't seem to always affect accounts, so, like any issue that isn't affecting everyone, or is intermittent, it's much harder for them to get to the bottom of it - I suppose they are also prioritising resources etc too.

 

When staff are back on here, they do add / remove boosts when My Account hasn't functioned correctly and you can also ask on 03451 720088 (not Sundays) or Chat, any day.

Just a little extension to this issue- and it's not caller display but same situation of not being able to make changes...

I have tried to add unlimited UK  calls boost £12 month, and I clicked on 'add call boost' and it takes me to the same page where I can't actually make any changes- if it helps to identify where this is the menu is labelled

 I really appreciate you looking in to this, but as yet the caller display still not working and there is still nothing in the section to manage calling features- I recall in the past this was a table with all the features you could tick or untick.

Perhaps there is a time delay because that has been suggested elsewhere too. 

I will keep playing with the phones.
